24-HOUR FITNESS
It’s about 3:30 a.m and I just got back from the gym. I’ve been having trouble sleeping early so lately my neighbor, my cousin, and I have been hitting the gym in the middle of the night. We go to 24-hour fitness that never closes, I wish they had this in Japan. I like it here cuz I get to work out and shoot around after on the full size courts. You would think its empty this late but there are a lot of people working out and playing ball. It was like 2:30 am and there were more than 30 dudes out on the courts, I just shot around on the side court but I kinda wanted to play.
Well all summer I was lifting really heavy and I was up to 170 pounds, don’t think i’ve ever been that heavy in my life. I was just trying to get stronger but my trainer told me that I gotta get down to like 155-160 pounds. He watched some BJL games and said that my game has to be more speed than strength. So I’m trying to cut that weight down and get more ripped than big.
I think I have the natural strength to compete with the other guards in the BJL so lately we have been working on muscle endurance more than muscle strength. I think the players are pretty strong though lol. Well I feel a little more quicker than before and I still feel like I have the explosive power, hopefully it can all come together in time for the season. 1ove,D-MAK
